Re: Decisions Made, Actions Taken
At our September 25, 2004 Meeting

Hi Everyone,

Your leaders remain energetic, purposeful and prepared, a most appealing combination. I remain amazed and so thankful that I crowned Pattie Moen, Shelley Grund, Tori Tasch and Steve Ballard with appreciation wreaths for service above and beyond the call of duty.

To view our website see www.shelleygrund.com/WPS_Japanese and click on links to the committees table, calendar and other topics.

Decisions Made:

Fundraising: Goal is $25,000. To State Board for final approval - letter and donor card to be sent to members statewide for use in making requests of cash or in-kind donations. To avoid duplication of effort, before you approach any company see our website listing donors already contacted. Donors of $500 and above will receive more prominent notice on publicity materials. All will be recognized. Letter of thanks will be sent after the Exchange.

Publicity: Press kit will be created for mailing to all print media containing CD and cover letter. A 3-in-1 poster/brochure/invitation will be created which can be folded for mailing. To State Board for final approval - logo for all printed materials to be sure it includes all required info about our association. A domain name is needed as a link from the WPS website. To State Board for approval of maintenance cost.

Interpreters: Three paid professionals, one for each chapter, who speak the language of art must be used for demonstrations, lectures, and receptions.

Field Trips: This committee will focus on providing an info packet for hosts to use in planning activities for their guests and any field trip activities.

Museum Contacts: Katherine Rosing will be SC area contact, Tori Tasch, SE, and Lee Mothes, NE. They will keep me posted.

Overnight Event: Now under Events (aka social activities).

Host/Guest Matching - A few changes were made. Please look at the attached email on this subject to be sure it is accurate. Museum installations will be made on the basis of this email.

Actions to Be Taken:

Calendar Change: All Neville Museum Events moved to Wednesday, October 5. If other sites are willing to change their dates to Saturday and Sunday, the Overnight Event can be held Thursday and Friday. If not, that leaves only Monday and Tuesday. If this proves impossible, perhaps an all-day field trip event including all chapters might have to suffice.

If you wish to serve on the Field Trips Committee, tell Virginia Huber.

If you wish to serve on the Events Committee, tell your Team Leader now.

Send emails with attachments to Chris Style stylec@uwgb.edu as Charis Congail cannot open attachments.

No meeting has been set for November. We will communicate by email and telephone until a meeting is required.

Most appreciatively,

Pat
